I forget exactly when this was... December something or other.
Apparently Mableton, GA is directly under the flight path for Canada Geese migrating south.
I don't remember seeing them in previous years, but I'm sure that I just didn't happen to be out at the right time. They flew over for like 3 hours or so. There'd be a collection of them circling, a squadron would come flying in and join the circle for a while, then some group of them would head off again. Over and over. It was surprisingly loud. I could easily hear them from inside the house.
Pretty amazing.
