On May 6th, last year, I rode at Cochran Mill, which wouldn't normally be worth mentioning, except for two things!
First, my ribs were starting to feel ok. Not strong, but not bad. I was, still, though, a little apprehensive about riding Cochran Mill on them, as I have crashed, just so terribly, there, over the years.

The second reason is that it was new bike shakedown day!

I'd been building up this one for like a year at that point. It's identical to my other one, just without the bags, and with a dropper post.
Jeph painted it for me. The color scheme is inspired by the Redline RL-20 (not RL-20ii) that I had when I was a teenager. It was my favorite bike as a kid. Every time I look down at this frame, the color gives me that same satisfying feeling that I had back then.
I remember having to adjust 100 things, as is common on such a ride, but I didn't crash!
