Weekly Beatdown

The beatdown hasn't been so weekly of late. I think I missed the last three. My poor road bike has been so lonely. Today it was 102 degrees on the way home from work and only slightly cooler when the ride started. I'm usually less weak than everyone else in the heat, so I was able to sit in with the B1 guys until we hit Elmo Road and then there was just no deep to go into. There wasn't even any shallow to go into. I was totally fine, then simply couldn't keep up. I only fell back about 50 yards but the light at the top was green, everyone rolled through it and I alone got stuck when it turned red. Ha, ha. That's cool though, bouncing back is like that. Next week should be better.
